Re: white russians, I recommend using half & half instead of milk, since it seems that most people don't drink whole milk anymore and 1-2% just ruins a caucasian. My recipe:
6-8 oz glass
ice
2 parts vodka
1 part kahlua (add more if you find it too strong)
...stir
add a splash of half & half to the top, but don't mix.

If you find yourself at the Washington Square Hotel bar, ask for it. They won't remember, but when they ask for the recipe, tell them it's a white russian with a shot of espresso. A few more people and it'll be a thing. They *are* under the impression that it's a real drink. And in fact, for all intents and purposes, it is. -

Fri, January 9, 2004 - 10:53 PMI always drink the caucasians when I can afford them. I mixed it with the vanilla ice cream instead of the 1/2 and 1/2 when I was loaded and ran out and it tasted damn good. Probably couldn't do too many of those.
