    I recall hearing that Donnie is a representative of Taoism...Kinda harsh for the author to label him as "a dullard".

      Yeah, I never thought of it before, but once I read the Dude/Buddha thing, I thought, "Hey, Donnie could totally represent Taoism". If you've ever read "The Tao of Pooh" (a great book that gives a simple overview of Taoism using Winnie the Pooh), the parallel is quite clear...
